Solar Panels & Energy Storage

At Van Dijk in Ophemert, a smart energy solution has been realized with a view to future-proof entrepreneurship. Thanks to the combination of 144 high-efficiency wall panels with three battery modules of 200 kWh each (EOS), the company now has an integrated system that cleverly utilizes both generation and storage.

The wall panels have been expertly installed on the facades of the commercial building, maximizing the use of available vertical space. This solution is particularly suitable for locations where roof or ground surface area is limited, but where sustainable generation is definitely possible. In addition, the facade integration contributes to a sleek, modern look for the commercial property.

The three EOS units of 200 kWh each provide a combined 600 kWh of local energy storage capacity. This temporarily buffers excess solar energy, allowing Van Dijk to better match its own generation to consumption and reduce peak loads. Moreover, this setup lays the foundation for further optimization through energy management and potential grid balancing services.
