Solar Panels & Energy Storage

At Van Dijk in Ophemert, a smart energy solution has been implemented with a focus on future-proof entrepreneurship. By combining 144 high-efficiency wall panels with three battery modules of 200 kWh each (ESS), the company now possesses an integrated system that intelligently utilizes both generation and storage.

The wall panels have been expertly installed on the facades of the industrial hall, maximizing the use of available vertical space. This solution is particularly suitable for locations where roof or ground surface area is limited, but where sustainable generation is nonetheless possible. Furthermore, the facade integration contributes to a sleek, modern appearance of the commercial premises.

The three ESS units of 200 kWh each together provide 600 kWh of local energy storage capacity. This allows surplus solar energy to be temporarily buffered, enabling Van Dijk to better align its own generation with consumption and reduce peak loads. Moreover, this setup establishes the foundation for further optimization through energy management and potential grid balancing services.
